Hi Bob,
You said: "Would you be so willing to give up coffee if Apple said you can’t have it anymore? " I just wanted to tell you that sometimes we need to resign using or doing some things in order to gain something else. Apple has great things and bad ones as well, but I prefer to keep the great ones and enjoy them.
Cheers,
Andrew

"I don’t need flash (never missed it on my iPod) and I am really looking forward for the iPad."

Wouldn't it be nice for a moment if people who post things like this actually thought about what they are saying. 3GoldeneRegeIn says they don't need it so hell nobody will need it or miss it at all. Get real. It is a tool just like JQuery is a tool. I'd say at least half the apps on the app store are available on the web in Flash. THAT is the reason Flash is not on the iPad not any of the other reasons. If you want an "app" on the web you google it and bam you have it. Want a quick game to play, it's in Flash somewhere. Want an "app" it's somewhere on the Web and free in Flash. I'm sure you've never used anything in Flash. http://us.blizzard.com/diablo3/ -- check it out in Flash and then the wonderful iPad. Let me describe it to you since you've never used Flash. Awesome looking graphics in Flash, Please get Adobe Flash Player to display this content on the iPad. I don't NEED Flash I appreciate it for what it does and I'm pissed Apple is telling me I don't need it. I don't need it, I want it. And no company is going to tell me I can't have it.

One thing each of these Flash bashing posts always fail on. You mention "95% of the webpages i visit do not require Flash at all". That is probably because someone swapped out the Flash for other content when the Flash player isn't detected. You'd probably see something nicer in place of the simple image or crappy java fade.

One thing I have to ask you. Would you be so willing to give up coffee if Apple said you can't have it anymore? Or anything you like? Even just a little? Even if it had one small use? That is what is happening here. Apple is telling you what you can or can not do. That is what is wrong here. You can't see something, such as a demonstration on how to use your software or even hardware, on an iPad unless it is a video. That might be fine for some things but what happens if it has to be interactive? Video is only good for some things.

Why would you give up anything just because a company that is "cool" says you have to? Feels like High School all over again. I know I'm gonna get my books decked after Apple sees I have a Droid and I'm using Flash without any issues. Oh and one more thing. My Droid doesn't play Flash unless I tell it to. Right out of the box. If I want to see something I click it and it works.
