THAT is the reason Flash is not on the iPad not any of the other reasons. If you want an "app" on the web you google it and bam you have it. Want a quick game to play, it's in Flash somewhere. You mention "95% of the webpages i visit do not require Flash at all". That is probably because someone swapped out the Flash for other content when the Flash player isn't detected. That might be fine for some things but what happens if it has to be interactive? Video is only good for some things.
